Safeguarding comes before tutoring.
Because Pera Educations works with children and young people, safeguarding arrangements should be clear to parents before lessons begin.
Before public launch
Pera Educations should publish a final safeguarding and child-protection policy that reflects how lessons are actually delivered. It should name the responsible safeguarding contact and explain how a parent or child can raise a concern.
The policy should cover
- how one-to-one sessions are arranged and supervised;
- appropriate communication with pupils and parents;
- online lesson safety, if lessons are delivered online;
- record keeping and how concerns are handled;
- relevant DBS arrangements where applicable;
- complaints and escalation routes;
- emergency and contact procedures.
For parents
Parents should feel able to ask how Pera Educations keeps learners safe, what checks and policies are in place and what to do if they have a concern. Final operational details should be provided before any booking is confirmed.
General contact
For general enquiries, contact Hatice Koc at peraeducationandconsultancy@gmail.com or 07340 345718. The final policy should separately confirm who is formally responsible for safeguarding concerns.
